Seven incredible women were awarded our 2022 top honors. Their careers are varied, although a common theme across majority of them is that they are educators, influencing the next generation of women in STEM and aerospace. This year's awardees ranged from a research scientist, engineers turned project managers, an educational outreach manager, a CEO, an educator at the Air Force Academy, and even a former Secretary of the U.S. Air Force and current University President. Each of them has led by example. Our award winners have broken many barriers for women in the STEM field, which, in turn, now serves as a guide to the younger generations.
WIA was also very excited to present our Allyship Award for the first time, which highlights any individual (man or woman) who actively promotes and aspires to advance a culture of inclusion for women through purposeful, positive and intentional efforts that benefit women in the aerospace community.
WIA is once again very humbled to acknowledge all of our recipients’ phenomenal achievements. We hope you enjoyed our premier event of the year, and we look forward to seeing you all at next year’s Awards Dinner & Ceremony.
