Registration cancellation and refund policies
WIA Annual and “Signature” Events
Registration costs are fully refundable for cancellations received on or before the date 30 days prior to annual events such as the Annual Awards Ceremony and Banquet and the WIA Conference, and events designated as “signature” events. A cancellation fee of 25% will be applied for cancellations received between 29 to 10 days before annual and signature events. No refund will be issued, but an alternate registrant will be welcome, for cancellations received less than 10 days before annual and signature events.

All cancellations must be sent in writing via fax, e-mail or regular mail to info@womeninaerospace.org. Please fax or email cancellations, if possible, and expect confirmation within two days. If necessary to cancel by USPS, please allow sufficient time for a response.
Media Release
By registering for or attending a WIA event, I grant full permission to WIA to use photographs, videos and other types of recordings of me in advertising, trade or any commercial purpose in legitimate accounts and promotions of this event. I waive the right to inspect versions of my image used for publication or the written copy used in connection with the images.

Women in Aerospace (“WIA”) has created this web site as a readily accessible compilation of public information about the organization. All reasonable efforts have been made to provide timely and accurate information for those desiring to learn more about the organization. Users should assume that all company names and design logos, including but not limited to the name “WIA” are registered or pending service marks, entitled to all legal protection afforded such marks.
The right to privacy is a priority to WIA. We recognize everyone’s need for reasonable control of information that is shared with us. This statement is an association-wide principle. WIA does not sell any customer information to outside organizations without their specific permission. Our goal in gathering information is to consistently improve our relationship with our members.
WIA uses the following guidelines to protect the information we collect during your visit to our web site, over the telephone, at WIA events, or through any other interaction. Because these guidelines affect information about you, please read them carefully and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

All images and photography on this site are intended for personal use only and prohibited from republication, retransmission, reproduction or other use of the Licensed Material.
What information does WIA gather online?
Every time you visit the WIA website, we automatically collect information such as your IP address -- the Internet address of your computer, the Web page from which you came, and a record of your activity on our site. WIA does not sell any user information to outside organizations without their specific permission.
For some areas of our Web site, we may ask you to voluntarily provide additional information in order to fulfill a request or to subscribe you to a WIA information vehicle. This information might include a person’s name, e-mail address, company information, mailing address or contact information and preferences. WIA will destroy and discontinue using any personal information with which it has been provided if so requested at any time by that individual.
How does WIA use information collected about its members?
WIA only accepts personal information voluntarily provided by individuals who are seeking WIA resources in some form or another. WIA only uses such information for the purpose it was originally provided unless permission is otherwise granted by the individual. In some cases, member information is posted for public display on the Web sites. This is optional and any WIA member may decline to have his or her name or other information published.

How do I know my information is secure?
WIA has invested time and resources to ensure that our online security procedures help safeguard your information. We use standard firewalls to prevent intrusion.
Is my information shared with third parties?
WIA will not share any personal information with anyone except in cases where permission is granted in advance and only of the nature and for the purpose expressly requested by the permission granted by the individual in question.
How can I update my information or remove myself from your member database?
Any personal or member information which WIA has on file may be updated or reviewed by sending an email requesting such to info@womeninaerospace.org. If a member wishes to delete information, please give WIA a period of two to four weeks for these changes to take effect.
Upon request, WIA will delete personal information from all publicly displayed databases on our Web sites. WIA cannot delete personal information that must be retained for the legal reasons related to certain business transactions.
Would my information be public in WIA public forums?
If at any time, WIA chooses to establish chat rooms, forums and/or message boards on our web site, please remember that any information (including personal information) that you disclose becomes public information that others may collect, circulate, and use. By using the WIA web site, you do not reveal any personal information.
Does WIA maintain third-party Web site links?
There may be links to third-party Web sites that are provided on WIA’s web sites as a benefit, however, a third party controls them. WIA uses certain application service providers (ASPs) to provide specific services to enhance your online experience. ASPs do not sell or distribute your personal information. They are bound by the WIA Privacy Policy. ASPs provide these services through their web site, although the look and feel of the site matches WIA’s web sites.
